Lifesten Health: Journey to Winning Hanga Pitch Fest and becoming Rwanda’s Startup of the Year

Lifesten Health is a Rwandan-based health tech startup that focuses on promoting wellness by providing personalized health management solutions through its mobile application. Founded in 2022 by Stephen Ogweno, and Peace Iraguha, Lifesten Health has rapidly grown to become one of the most innovative health tech startups in Rwanda.

In 2022, Lifesten Health participated in the Hanga Pitch Fest, a pitching competition organized by the Rwandan government’s innovation agency, the Rwanda Development Board. The competition aimed to identify and showcase promising startups in Rwanda and help them gain exposure to potential investors and partners.


As the winner of the Hanga Pitch Fest, Lifesten Health received funding and support to help scale its operations and expand its reach. The startup plans to use the investment to improve its mobile application, hire additional staff, and expand its operations .

The journey to the Hanga Pitch Fest was not easy for Lifesten Health. The Lifesten team put in long hours and hard work, refining their business plan, perfecting their pitch, and developing a prototype of their product that would impress the judges.
